"Memories" A Collection of Digital Polaroids Book by Lev Surovecs



This book is about my personal memories. For 2 years I was trying to freeze time using my camera. I wanted to capture my life moments and make them eternal, so I could return back in time and live that day one more time, as it has passed away forever. Photography gives you this opportunity.
I prefer taking pictures instead of making videos because the photo delivers you just the instant moment of a certain time period, while the motion pictures gives you the whole vision. I want to make people think, when they look at my photos. I want to make sure they form they’re own visions, they’re own stories, that go beyond the frame of the picture. Sometimes completely strange photographs can revive a memory of your own. And you are starting to feel that day’s atmosphere and remember those things that were once forgotten.
I don’t consider my photos like a form of art. Neither are they made with a lot of effort from the composition point of view and other fine photography laws. The strength of these photos is that they deliver that single moment atmosphere, when they were taken. They portray people’s feelings. Is it lust or sadness, joy or madness, doesn’t matter.
